I believe that the Montessori classroom
is the ideal learning environment for children, and I speak from experience...
Here are some photos of me when
I was a child in a Montessori classroom working on some lessons.
Here I am working on flower-cutting.I
am comparing the length of the stem to the assortment of vases to decide
which one would be the best one to use. This is a "practical life" application.
The bells were one of my favorite
parts of the Montessori classroom. I couldn't get enough of making music
even back then.
I am sewing an "necklace" by
stringing styrofoam onto a thread. This is another practical life work.
The Trinomial cube is a great
lesson that I loved working on. If you're curious as to how putting a cube
puzzle together is a lesson, look at this lesson
description.
