I have always wanted to be able to peel an apple in one, long , pretty, curly strip. The whole apple, all the way to the bottom. I've been practicing since I was a little girl, beginning with only tiny pieces of the peel coming off at at time. Slowly, but surely, my skills in peeling apples have improved over the years. Recently, I've been able to get a very long strip coming off the apple with regularity. But today, July 24, 1999, right after dinner, I achieved the peak of apple peeling perfection. Today I peeled the entire apple, all the way to the bottom, in one long strip. My apple peeling dreams are now fulfilled! Hallelujah!
